In Spring 2021, I am a lecturer at UCLA's Department of Linguistics. I received my PhD from the same department in December 2020, writing a dissertation entitled Expressing ignorance with determiner phrases.
My research concerns the roles that grammatical and pragmatic knowledge play in producing speakers' judgments about meaning. Some of the natural language phenomena that I have studied are (in)definite determiner phrases, interrogative clauses, presupposition projection in quantificational constructions, and tense-aspect-modality markers.
